Growing Food
CORALVILLE COMMUNITY GARDEN PLOTS
For those who have expressed a desire to see more fresh, local produce offered at the pantry, there is once again an opportunity to help increase access to such food. In 2013, the city of Coralville generously reserved two 10’x30′ garden plots for us in their community garden space. With the help of food pantry volunteers and local gardening experts, we were able to grow and distribute over 420 lbs of fresh produce! For the 2014 growing season, we are partnering with the city once again to manage an even larger plot space. Please contact us if you would like to assist in planning or maintaining the garden plot.
PLANT. GROW. SHARE.
