Thanksgiving in July

TGIJ newsletter headerFor many, summer is a time to slow down and take a break. Here at the Coralville Ecumenical Food Pantry, where we provide weekly food assistance to nearly 2,500 Coralville residents, we know firsthand that hunger does not take a break during the summer months—in fact, the need increases. “Thanksgiving in July”, or TGIJ for short, is a special collaborative effort among local food pantries to keep the issue of hunger on the forefront during this busy time.

As in years past, many generous groups in our community are hosting special events this month to benefit the pantry. Mark your calendars!
