John has been working with the Coralville Ecumenical Food Pantry since August 2012. As Executive Director, his primary duties involve developing partnerships within the local community, identifying and pursuing potential funding sources, recruiting and managing volunteers, and overseeing the procurement and acquisition of food items offered at the food pantry.

John has been amazed by the generosity of the Coralville community, specifically the churches, schools, businesses, and civic groups that regularly donate their time, talents, and resources. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa.

Polly Marshall
Procurement Coordinator

Polly is a super-volunteer that has been with the food pantry since the day it opened in September 2009.  Under her guidance, the food pantry grew and blossomed into a sustainable resource for individuals and families in need of food assistance in Coralville.  In addition to doing a little bit of everything, Polly coordinates the procurement of food items–placing bi-weekly food orders through HACAP (the local food reservoir) and scouting out the best bulk bargains at local retail grocery stores.
